About the Blog
The Indian Corporate Law Review (ICLR) is a platform dedicated to fostering insightful discussions on contemporary issues in corporate and commercial laws. We welcome original, analytical contributions from legal practitioners, academicians, students, and professionals. Our aim is to publish high-quality content that advances understanding and debate in the field.

We accept submissions on the following (indicative) areas:

Submissions must be analytical, engaging, and contribute meaningfully to existing discourse. Descriptive summaries or mere case commentaries without critical analysis will not be accepted.
General Guidelines

Submissions must be the author’s original work, unpublished elsewhere, and free from plagiarism. All submissions will undergo plagiarism and AI-detection checks.

Up to two (2) authors are permitted.

Only English submissions are accepted.
-
Cross-publication is not allowed unless explicitly permitted by ICLR.
Word Limit and Structure
The Indian Corporate Law Review (ICLR) welcomes submissions in two distinct formats, catering to both concise analytical pieces and comprehensive scholarly work:
1. Blogs

Word Limit: 1,000–2,000 words (exclusive of footnotes).

Scope: Focused analysis of recent legal developments, case comments, legislative critiques, or policy discussions.
2. Long Articles
-
Word Limit: 2,000–10,000 words (exclusive of footnotes).
-
Scope: Detailed examinations of complex legal issues, comparative studies, or theoretical frameworks in corporate/commercial law.
Format

File type: .doc/.docx only.

File name: “Title_ICLR” (Title must be in Sentence Case, max. 10 words).
-
Font: Times New Roman, Size 12, Line Spacing: 1.5.

Margins: 1 inch on all sides.

Headings:

Title: Bold and Underlined (Sentence Case).

Heading 2: Bold.
-
Heading 3: Underlined.
Referencing and Citations

Hyperlinks must be embedded in the text for all references (preferred).
-
Where hyperlinks are unavailable, use footnotes in any consistent style.
-
Avoid speaking footnotes/endnotes.
-
Pinpoint citations must be provided for specific legal texts or judgments.
Submission Process
Submissions must be made exclusively through the ICLR Submission Google Form. Emails or other modes will not be accepted.
Review and Publication Timeline

Receipt will be confirmed within 48 hours.

Review Process:
-
Stage 1: The Editorial Team evaluates submissions for thematic relevance, originality, and adherence to guidelines. Authors will receive a decision (acceptance/rejection/revision request) within 7–10 days.

Stage 2: Submissions that pass preliminary review undergo a double-blind peer review (reviewers and authors remain anonymous). Reviewers assess analytical depth, legal accuracy, and contribution to the field. Final decisions (acceptance/rejection) are communicated within 10–14 days.

Accepted pieces may require edits; authors will have 5 days to resubmit.

Final decisions rest with ICLR’s Editorial Board.
